sure was THE King in my eyes. I watched this man perform for 7 years at
Mountaineer and did he ever draw an enormous crowd week after week! When
he left the stage between his 3 sets to change the people would
disappear, when George returned to the stage again to sing the people
were like flies coming from every which-way to hear him. He was the
sweetest, kindest and most tender hearted person I have ever met. George
loved Star Trek (I didn't), he'd call and chat on the phone forever
telling me about one of the episodes. I'd give anything now to hear
about Captain Kirk...My sweet friend George, may the angels always watch
over you and Linda...RIP |

I saw Stephen
Freeman on 9/23/07 when he appeared at the Shelor Motor Mile Speedway
with Charlie Daniels.
Have never really cared much for Elvis impersonators, but I was really
impressed with Stephen. He has the look, mannerisms, etc....down to an
art. Great job! |

George Wagner was
The King. He single handedly put that Casino on the map, and was
arguably their biggest draw. I, for one would like to see them put a
permanent memorial up for George as Mountaineer Parks own personal
Elvis.. We thank him for his high energy performances. His passion for
his craft, and the indefinable energy he brought on stage each and every
time he came.. My heart goes out to the Family and the Fans.. |

I am just stopping
by to say that your site is still rockin and the best. It's been a while
since I signed your guest book so I am back again. all your etas are
awesome and the best there is. I just want to express my condolences and
heartfelt sympathy for the passing of George Wagner. May God give him
eternal rest.. I was on my way to Memphis when I heard the news. so
sad.. His beautiful voice will live on. He is singing in heaven. thank

pleasure of attending the Elvis Explosion 2007 in LaCrosse, Wi and had a
super great time. We had the double pleasure of having lunch with Patti
Parry. What a delightful and super nice person she is. We also had the
pleasure of meeting and having a late dinner with ETA'S Tony Grova, Joe
Ramsey and Terry Collins. We are already making plans to return for the

the LaCrosse Center late Sunday morning - he had strained his voice the
night before and we advised him to save it for the show that afternoon.

My husband and I
went to the Elvis Explosion for the first time and what a fabulous
weekend it was. The whole weekend was filled with great music and the
spirit of Elvis was everywhere - during the competition, the cruises,
karaoke, and the jam sessions. The Gospel Hour was so inspiring; it even
brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful way to start the day. (The
Gospel Hour should be a keeper) We met a lot of great people over the
three days, made some new friends, and met many new ETAs.
My hat goes off to all the ETAs who competed. You all worked very hard,
your performances were fantastic, and we, the audience, were the lucky
recipients of some great entertainment. You are all winners in my book!
Dwight and Shawn were awesome headliners. One can understand why Shawn
won the EPE contest in Memphis. Dwight blew people away with his
performances, especially when he sang Unchained Melody. Just love to
listen to him sing and watch him perform. He is GREAT!!
Excellent job by the ExSpence Account Showband - each member is so
talented; they never miss a beat, add a bit of humor, and are a
tremendous support to the ETAs.
Ronny - GREAT JOB!! Hope a lot of money was raised for the CMN.
Nance - sorry I missed seeing you but I know you were behind the scenes
with Ronny and so many others helping to make this weekend the success
it was.

just want to tell you that Ben Klein is the best 50's ETA I have seen.
He brings me back memories of seeing Elvis from that era. No one has

Just saw Johnny
for my first time last night at the Yellow Rose Dinner theatre. He was
