Steven started listening to Elvis at an early
age through his dad and mom. His mother was a huge Elvis fan. He
remembers the day Elvis died. He was seven years old and saw his
mama crying. Steven prayed to God and told his Mom, he would be
Elvis for her, she started to smile and gave him a big hug. Steven
will never forget that day as long as he lives.
Steve has been performing in the likeness of Elvis for the
past seven years. He went to Graceland in 2003 to visit the King’s
house. Having black hair and sideburns since he was 18, women kept
asking Steven if he was a tribute artist. He explained he was
not but he loved the King. He decided to give it a try. Steven
bought a few Karaoke compact discs of Elvis and started practicing,
watching Elvis on stage and studying his movements and gestures.
Steve has performed all over Florida, Georgia and also in Atlantic
City.
"I enjoy entertaining people and giving them that feeling that
Elvis would have given them when he was on stage. Elvis loved and
adored his fans and if it were not for them, he would not be such a
cultural Icon. I feel the same way with all my fans. Because if it
were not for them, I would not be here today performing in his
likeness. They are the best! As Elvis stated at the end of each
show, “Until we meet again, may God bless you as he has blessed me,
thank you and good night”.
